2025 OFGCC Deceased Member’s Bursary Award

The Orillia Fish and Game Conservation Club announces Brandon Guoth as the recipient of the 2025 OFGCC Deceased Member’s Bursary Fund Award of $3,000.00

Brandon is an Orillia-based conservation worker with previous experience working for the Couchiching Conservancy, Ontario Parks and volunteering with the Bruce Trail Conservancy. Brandon has a strong interest in plant ecology and alvar ecosystem conservation.

Brandon has recently enrolled in the Master of Science Degree (Biology) program at Lakehead Universitiy, Orillia campus. His research project is studying the impact of livestock grazing on plant diversity within the Carden Alvar.

When he’s not busy identifying wildflowers and grasses, he enjoys spending time outside with his wife and 4-year-old son.

The Orillia Fish and Game Conservation Club wishes Brandon every success going forward with his studies to support conservation and protecting our environment.
