Thank You to Orillia Secondary School students for their donation!
Today four students from OSS presented our president Stuart Hansen with a donation of $200.00 to the George Langman Sanctuary. Earlier this year the club was approached by the students to do fund raising for this organization. Over a one-month time period with request of a $15 dollar donation or more they set up a plan to advertise and work for this charity. This was part of a class project which they excelled at. The picture included is of the students and members of the club present to accept the donation. Following the presentation the students were given a tour of this facility and what forms of conservation we work towards in the club.
We would like to encourage more third-party activities like this to assist with fund raising.
Many thanks to Caden Cheslock, David Francey, Oliver Belganer and Rourke Kand for offering their time and energy to do lawn care work as a fund raiser for the club. We wish you all the best in your future endeavours.
